Mclean Mill is a national historic site located just outside of Port Alberni. It was operating as a sawmill to process the local lumber up until 1965. Now it is a tourist destination where you can experience the old mill, observe the original machinery, trucks, and out buildings that were once a part of this bustling family owned operation.

I have visited the site many times, and it has inspired several paintings. This piece depicts some of the original vehicle parts, oil cans, and tools that still remain sitting on the workbench in the old garage.
